Location: Stuart, FL – Onsite, Monday to Friday, 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM

About The Opportunity
The Tool Maker II position is responsible for moderately complex building and modifying tools, jigs, molds and fixtures using precision bench and machining operations.
Location: Stuart, FL – Onsite, Monday to Friday, 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM
Responsibilities
- Works with machinist hand tools and precision measuring instruments using a good mechanical aptitude
- Programs, sets-up, and operates machine tools to perform completely and independently specific operations as required
- Reads, interprets, and machines moderately detailed and assembly components, jigs and fixtures as indicated on the prints, sketches, and /or other specifications
- Fabricates moderately complex assembly and drill jigs
- Changes, sets and adjusts tools as required
- Determines, sets and adjusts feeds, speeds and stops on all machines in the facility within operation capability to maintain specified tolerances
- Be familiar with temperature changes caused by machine operations and the use of proper coolants
- Have moderate knowledge of the machinability of metals
- Grinds moderately complex cutting tools and drills
- Checks fixture using specified details and assemblies to see that dimensions are being maintained
- Reports improper machine function and/or checks parts not being held to the proper dimensions
- Performs other related duties as assigned
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Three (3) to five (5) years related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time bases without sponsorship now or in the future. The Company cannot offer employment to visa holders who require employer sponsorship in the future or cannot work now on a full-time basis.
- Must be able to perform work subject to ITAR/EAR regulations.
- Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, electrical equipment, acetone, alcohol, argon, braze alloys, nitrogen, hydrogen, oil-based lubricants and cleaning solutions
- Occasionally exposed to moderate cold and extreme heat
- Noise level is usually middling
- Regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel
- Able to communicate verbally and have the ability to hear
- Frequently required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, and stoop or crouch
- Occasionally required to sit
- Regularly lifts and/or moves up to thirty (30) pounds and occasionally lifts and/or moves up to fifty (50) pounds
- Close vision ability
