We are seeking a skilled Grind Operator to join our aerospace manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating precision grinding equipment to produce high-tolerance components in accordance with aerospace specifications. This role requires a strong understanding of grinding processes, shop safety, and quality assurance procedures specific to the aerospace industry.

Location: Prescott AZ
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate a variety of precision CNC grinding machines (e.g., Rotary,ID/OD grinders).
- Read and interpret engineering blueprints, work instructions, and GD&T specifications.
- Measure and inspect finished parts using precision tools such as micrometers, calipers, indicators, and bore gauges.
- Maintain tight tolerances ( /- .0001”) as required by aerospace standards.
- Adjust machine settings to achieve required finish, dimension, and surface quality.
- Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on grinding machines.
- Ensure all work is completed in compliance with AS9100 or other relevant aerospace standards.
- Accurately document work performed and inspection results.
- Collaborate with engineers, quality assurance personnel, and team members to resolve issues.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment in accordance with company policies.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or apprenticeship preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of experience operating grinders in a manufacturing or aerospace environment.
- Proficient in the use of precision measuring tools and inspection techniques..
- Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints and geometric tolerancing.
- Strong understanding of grinding techniques, metallurgy, and material removal rates.
- Familiarity with aerospace quality standards (e.g., AS9100, NADCAP) is a plus.

- Weekly Hours:40-50
- Requires mobility in a manufacturing plant environment while using Personal Protective Equipment.
- Must be able to frequently stand and walk.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Must be able to have prolonged periods standing 8-10 hours a day
