What are the responsibilities and job description for the Child and Adolescent Therapist position at Purposeful Path Counseling?
Purposeful Path Counseling is a private mental health counseling practice based in Cincinnati, Ohio. We provide therapy services to children, teens, adults, couples, and families in a supportive and inclusive environment. Our therapists are extensively trained in evidence-based practices and approach therapy through a trauma-informed and culturally sensitive lens. This is a full-time hybrid role for a Child and Adolescent Therapist, based in Blue Ash, OH, with opportunities for part-time remote work. The therapist will provide high-quality mental health services to children and adolescents, utilizing therapeutic techniques such as Play Therapy. Day-to-day responsibilities include assessing client needs, creating treatment plans, conducting therapy sessions, collaborating with families and caregivers, and performing case documentation. The therapist will also engage in ongoing professional development to ensure best practices in mental health care.
- Proficiency in Play Therapy and experience in working with children
- Expertise in Social Work and Mental Health practices
- Experience with Case Management to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
- Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, or a related field
- Active licensure in counseling or social work in the state of Ohio (LPC, LPCC, LSW, LISW)
- Familiarity with trauma-informed care and cultural sensitivity
- Previous experience in a similar role is preferred
