What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mechanical Test Engineer (No C2C) position at Purplejack Technologies LLC?
? Validate core engine components and systems (rotating components, PRL, valvetrain, heads, blocks, and housings) for NPI, NTI, CPI, NSI, and Assurance of Supplier programs.
? Evaluate complex structural failure modes and provide technical guidance/expertise to drive product solutions.
? Develop and execute test plans for on-engine and bench testing.
? Conduct tests in Tech Center engine labs, Lafayette IN engine center, Peoria IL & Tucson AZ proving grounds, 3rd party engine and shake labs, and field sites.
? Utilize data acquisition systems and analysis tools to evaluate linear vibration, stress/strain, and modal performance.
? Coordinate design and procurement of prototype hardware.
? Set up test instrumentation and gaging as appropriate.
? Generate reports and communicate conclusions and results to stakeholders.
? Team consists of 10 test engineers and 4 technicians.
? Candidate will work closely with design and simulation teams.
? Interaction includes project planning, report generation, and communication of results.

- Create sketches, engineering drawings, and perform common engineering calculations

- Experience with data acquisition systems such as eDAQ, LMS, and cDAQ
- Analyze linear vibration, stress/strain, ME-SCOPE, and LMS data
- Perform modal testing and vibration analysis
