As a Senior Full Stack Web Engineer, you’ll own complex, customer-facing features, turn ideas into scalable solutions, and help define the technical direction of key products. You’ll work closely with our Staff Engineers on architecture and performance, making sure our systems are fast, reliable, and built to grow.

The Senior Full Stack Web Engineer is responsible for building and enhancing web applications, ensuring code quality, and driving productivity. This role involves mentoring associate team members, collaborating closely with the Staff Engineers to influence technical decisions, and ensuring adherence to department standards and best practices. In this position, you will take ownership of complex features, optimize system performance, and contribute to architectural decisions to ensure scalability and reliability. As a senior member of the team, you will play a key role in fostering collaboration, promoting continuous improvement, and setting a high bar for development excellence. This position is remote work eligible.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and enhancement of web applications using React and Node.js.
• Implement and optimize SQL queries (MariaDB) and work with queuing/caching technologies like Redis and RabbitMQ.
• Lead the development of RESTful APIs for third-party integrations, ensuring scalability, security, and performance.
• Build and optimize event-driven microservices using messaging software like RabbitMQ and NATS to facilitate asynchronous communication.
• Mentor associate engineers and conduct code reviews to ensure high standards of quality, helping them write more efficient, reusable, and scalable code.
• Focus on maintaining and improving code quality, processes, and team productivity.
• Ensure the technical structure of the codebase is maintained and adheres to best practices.
• Participate actively in Scrum events, helping to set sprint priorities and ensure the team meets its goals.
• Undertake additional assigned duties as requested.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 5 years of experience in full stack development with React, Node.js, and REST APIs.
• Strong experience with SQL databases (MariaDB) and queuing/caching technologies (Redis, RabbitMQ, NATS).
• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure (AWS) and CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions).
• Proficiency in using Git for version control and Jira for project tracking.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Spanish speaking bi-lingual candidates are encouraged to apply.

Working Settings

• Full-time Salaried Exempt, not eligible for overtime.
• Office hours are 8am-5pm, Monday through Friday, Central Time zone, additional hours may be required depending on priorities.
• This position is remote work eligible within the United States. Please be aware: the first week of employment includes mandatory in-person training. Remote start arrangements are not available.
• Also mandatory: One week a year of in-person training with the department.
• Potential for 10% travel, should the need arise.
• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
  
  

Compensation

• The salary varies based on experience and qualifications, but typically ranges from $100,000 to $115,000 per year.
• Monthly Bonus Program - determined by the Company’s monthly revenue result and are paid on a “percent to plan” payout formula (90% = $300, 100% = $600, 110% = $900, 120% = $1,200).
• Monthly phone stipend in accordance with the Company’s cell phone policy, currently $120/month.
• Health, Dental, and Vision starting the first of the month following start date.
• 401(k) plan with an employer match up to 4% starting the first day of employment.
• Fully paid Short-Term Disability provided by the Company.
• Company-paid Life Insurance benefit of $25,000 with options to add more through employee contribution starting the first of the month after 60 days of employment.
• Personal Time Off (PTO) annual amount of 120 hours which is prorated based on the number of days between the 60th day of employment and the end of the calendar year. May vary to comply with state requirements.
• Eligible to participate in the Company Employee Stock Purchase Program (ESPP) after 90 days of employment, with enrollment opportunities each May and November.
