POSITION SUMMARY
Our client is seeking a driven and strategic Business Development Executive to support the company’s continued growth in the aerospace and defense sectors. This role is responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, building and maintaining strong client relationships, and developing customized sales strategies that align with the organization’s high standards for quality and service. This position reports to the Sales Manager.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Innovate and lead the sales process to attract and secure new clients.
- Research and identify growth opportunities in both existing and new markets.
- Qualify, pursue, and close business opportunities through targeted outreach and tailored sales strategies.
- Prepare and deliver compelling presentations, pitches, and proposals to prospective clients and partners.
- Forecast, set, and meet or exceed sales goals and performance metrics (e.g., call volume, client conversion, annual revenue targets).
- Craft business contracts and negotiate terms to drive revenue and profitability.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of all company products and services.
- Create, nurture, and maintain long-term relationships with existing and prospective customers.
- Conduct regular outreach, including cold, warm, and follow-up calls, to engage clients and move them through the sales funnel.
- Communicate with clients to understand their needs, respond to inquiries, and offer tailored solutions.
- Manage client feedback and coordinate with internal teams to ensure continuous improvement and customer satisfaction.
- Attend industry workshops, conferences, trade shows, and exhibitions to represent the company and stay informed on market trends.
- Remain attuned to evolving customer behaviors and industry shifts to ensure offerings remain competitive and relevant.
- Work cross-functionally with leadership and management teams to align on growth initiatives and business priorities.
- Identify and manage risks that may impact the company’s ability to scale or enter new markets.
- Promote a collaborative, creative, and growth-oriented culture within the organization.
- Develop and maintain accurate records, including prospect databases, call activity logs, and client engagement history.
- Prepare and manage both short-term tactical plans and long-term strategic business development roadmaps.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business administration, or similar.
- Extensive sales and marketing experience.
- Relative experience with lead generation and prospect management.
- Knowledge of the sales process from initiation to closing and client retention.
- Must have expertise and experience in project management.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, as well as time management skills.
- Proven ability to drive revenue growth by identifying client pain points and recommending tailored products or services that deliver measurable value.
- Due to the nature of work performed within the facilities, U.S. Citizenship or Valid Permanent Resident status is required.
- Occasional travel to meet with clients or prospective clients is required (estimated at once per month or less).
