Job Description:
Industry Background:
- Experience in high-volume manufacturing within a Tier 1 automotive environment. Tier 1 automotive suppliers operate with tight margins and aggressive schedules, which demands manufacturing and industrial excellence.
Core Competencies:
- Manufacturing Process Development: Ability to define, design, and deliver manufacturing processes for complex assembly products — from conceptual phase through full production scale-up.
- Process Engineering Fundamentals: Strong command of PFD (Process Flow Diagrams), time studies, line balancing, and P-FMEA.
- Design for Manufacturing (DFM): Capable of analyzing product designs and providing actionable DFM recommendations.
- GD&T: Strong understanding of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing and its application in manufacturing.
- Equipment & Vendor Management: Capable of writing technical specifications and managing vendors through full equipment commissioning.
- Industrial KPIs: Strong understanding of operational metrics — OEE, MTTR, MTBF, cycle time, throughput, yield, etc.
- Digital Manufacturing: Familiarity with MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems) and digital manufacturing principles.
Scope of Ownership:
- End-to-end manufacturing development lifecycle: concept → process design → validation → ramp → full production
