Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Restoration Estimator/Project Manager to lead restoration projects from initial assessment through completion. This role requires a professional with strong construction estimating and project management expertise, capable of coordinating with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure successful project delivery. The ideal candidate will possess comprehensive knowledge of construction processes, cost control, and contract management, with the ability to accurately prepare estimates and oversee project execution on-site.
Duties
- Prepare detailed restoration estimates utilizing Xactimate and DocuSketch
- Conduct thorough site inspections to assess damage and determine scope of work.
- Develop accurate project budgets, including pricing, labor, materials, and equipment costs.
- Negotiate contracts and change orders with clients, vendors, and subcontractors to optimize project profitability.
- Manage multiple restoration projects simultaneously, ensuring adherence to schedules and budgets.
- Oversee construction site activities, ensuring compliance with safety standards and quality requirements.
- Coordinate procurement of materials and services needed for project execution.
- Monitor project progress through regular site visits and meetings; implement cost control measures as needed.
- Maintain clear communication with clients regarding project status, changes, and expectations.
- Ensure all projects comply with contractual obligations and regulatory standards.
Experience
- Proven experience in construction estimating, preferably within the restoration or disaster recovery industry.
- Strong background in construction management, including site supervision and contract administration.
- Proficiency in Xactimate and DocuSketch
- Demonstrated ability in negotiation, pricing strategies, and cost control techniques.
- Extensive knowledge of construction processes, safety protocols, and regulatory compliance on construction sites.
- Prior experience managing complex projects from start to finish with a focus on quality and client satisfaction.
- Familiarity with construction contracts and legal considerations related to project management.
