About Purity Water

Purity Water is a specialty water retail business dedicated to providing customers with high-quality purified drinking water, alkaline water, and convenient refill solutions. We help customers enjoy cleaner, great-tasting water while offering an affordable, environmentally friendly alternative to traditional bottled water.

We are opening a new location in Middletown, NJ, and are looking for a friendly, dependable, and motivated individual to help run our store. This will be the 6th Purity Water location to open in New Jersey.

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly customer-service-oriented Store Manager / Customer Service Associate to oversee the day-to-day operations of our Middletown location.

This is a hands-on position where you will be responsible for running the store independently, assisting customers, handling transactions, and maintaining a clean, welcoming retail environment.

As the primary employee at our new location, you will play an important role in building relationships with customers, creating a positive shopping experience, and helping our business grow.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Service & Sales

• Greet every customer with a friendly, welcoming attitude.
• Assist customers with water refills, bottle purchases, and other products.
• Help customers carry, load, and unload water containers as needed.
• Educate customers about our different water options, products, and services.
• Build relationships with regular customers and encourage repeat business.
• Answer customer questions and resolve concerns professionally.
• Recommend relevant products and services based on customer needs.

Daily Store Operations

• Independently manage daily store operations, including opening and closing.
• Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system and process customer payments.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and professional store environment.
• Clean and sanitize water dispensing stations and customer-facing equipment according to company procedures.
• Monitor inventory levels and restock merchandise and supplies.
• Follow established procedures for water dispensing, sanitation, and quality control.
• Report equipment issues, maintenance needs, or operational concerns to ownership.
• Handle routine operational tasks and maintain accurate daily records.

Store Ownership & Growth

• Take pride in the store's appearance, organization, and customer experience.
• Help create a welcoming environment that encourages customer loyalty.
• Assist with local promotions and customer engagement initiatives.
• Communicate regularly with ownership about store performance and opportunities for improvement.
• Demonstrate initiative and good judgment while working independently.

Qualifications

Required

• Excellent customer service and interpersonal communication skills.
• Friendly, outgoing, and professional personality.
• Dependable, punctual, and trustworthy.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Comfortable handling cash and electronic transactions.
• Ability to regularly lift and carry 40 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform physical retail tasks throughout the workday.
• Strong attention to cleanliness, organization, and detail.
• Willingness to learn our products, equipment, and operating procedures.

Preferred

• Previous experience in retail, customer service, hospitality, or store operations.
• Experience opening and closing a retail store independently.
• Familiarity with POS systems and inventory management.
• Previous supervisory or management experience is a plus, but not required.
