Job Title: Loader
Job Summary:
The Loader is responsible for efficiently and safely loading, unloading, and moving carts in the warehouse, or loading dock environment. This role requires attention to detail, physical stamina, and a commitment to workplace safety.
Essential Job Functions
- Load and unload materials from trucks, or pallets.
- Ensure accurate placement of goods based on delivery or storage requirements.
- Verify product quantities and inspect for damages before loading.
- Secure loads to prevent shifting or damage during transit.
- Assist in organizing and maintaining clean loading/unloading areas.
- Follow safety guidelines and company procedures at all times.
- Report equipment issues, discrepancies, or damages immediately.
- Work closely with drivers, warehouse staff, and supervisors to meet daily goals.
Qualifications:
- Prior experience in a warehouse or loading position is a plus.
- Ability to lift 10–75 lbs. and perform repetitive physical tasks.
- Pushing/Pulling up to 600lbs.
- Basic math and reading skills to verify labels, manifests, and counts.
- Familiarity with loading equipment (e.g., forklifts, dollies) is an advantage.
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends or overtime if needed.
Work Environment:
- Requires standing, bending, and lifting for extended periods.
- May be exposed to varying temperatures and noise levels.
