What are the responsibilities and job description for the Operations Controller position at Purem Novi Inc?
Objective of the Position: This position manage and lead the GIS plant controlling teams. It provides monthly financial reports to management as an underlying basis for business decisions at the site assigned. It comprises budget and forecast compilation for strategic derivation. This role analyzes procedures and processes in order to ensure that they are in line with group policies.
Essential Accountabilities: The position incumbent ensures, that
- Manage and Lead plant controlling team in Spartanburg, St. Louis and Louisville.
- Lead and analyze monthly closing process from CO point of view.
- Monthly reporting including validation of total sales, actual to budget deviation analysis.
- Directed buy reconciliation/pass through analysis.
- Ad-hoc analysis-special requests from management.
- All policy and procedures especially for SAP are discussed with German parent and implemented in accordance to group policy.
- Annual Budgeting of all plant related cost
- Gather all overhead costs and develop machine rates for machine cost centers with SAP.
- Monthly forecasting including collecting sales data from sales or PC&L department, derive cost of material out of SAP via Bill of Materials for site assigned
- Submission of accurate management data in the correct format for daily, weekly and monthly reporting
Secondary Accountabilities: The position incumbent ensures, that
- Provide support to, and compliance with, all local and corporate Eberspaecher Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) policies, procedures and other HSE related requirements.
- Quality - Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness and follows all ENA polices related to TS16949 and ISO 14001; looks for way to improve and promote quality.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirement Profile:
Professional Background / Basic Qualification / Work Experience:
- Bachelor's degree (B. A.) in Accounting or Finance.
- Minimum five years’ experience in plant controlling position for an automotive supplier.
- Ability to travel domestically by car or plane.
- To perform this job successfully, an individual must be proficient in Microsoft Office.
- To perform this job successfully, an individual must be proficient in SAP accounting modules.
Technical Expertise:
- Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements and projections.
- Ability to apply mathematical concepts and operations, including calculations, percentages, etc.
- Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos, and write correspondence.
- Analytical- Synthesize complex or diverse information; Collects and researches data; Uses intuition and experience to complement data; Designs work flows and procedures.
