Position Title: Yard Hand
Reports To: Shift Supervisor

Schedule

This position follows a 2-2-3 rotating schedule with 12-hour shifts:

• Day Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM

• Night Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM

Employees rotate between day and night shifts every two weeks.

Primary Job Objective

Load, unload, and move incoming and outgoing materials to support continuous production within established PureField Ingredients operating parameters.

Essential Functions

Day Shift (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM)

• Assist the Yard Supervisor in the scale house by using computer systems to weigh inbound and outbound trucks

• Operate scale house equipment to test incoming grain shipments for moisture, protein, and aflatoxin content

• Determine acceptance or rejection of shipments by comparing test results to established standards

• Load trucks with wet cake and DDGS using front-end loader, SkyTrak, and Bobcat

• Assist Ethanol Plant Operators as time permits

• Complete daily yard checklist

• Perform additional duties as assigned

Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)

• Record bill of lading information for outgoing products

• Load railcars with ethanol following established inspection and loading procedures

• Record railcar information on loading reports

• Sweep receiving pit floors, grates, and drive areas using broom and air hose

• Load trucks with wet cake and DDGS using front-end loader and Bobcat

• Clean DDGS building using broom and air hose

• Refuel equipment and check fluid levels on front-end loader, Trackmobile, SkyTrak, and Bobcat

• Clean scale house with broom and mop (Sunday nights)

• Move railroad cars using Trackmobile

• Clean C-111 magnet

• Dump overage bin

• Assist Ethanol Plant Operators as time permits

• Complete daily yard checklist

• Complete daily production and inventory reports

• Perform additional duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Basic math and communication skills

• Basic computer skills

• Physical ability to perform the essential functions of the position

(Most job knowledge is acquired through on-the-job training.)

The employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, bend, and climb. The employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts and may be required to lift up to 50 pounds.

Required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

• Hard hat and protective eyewear required within and around processing facilities

• Hearing protection required in areas exceeding 85 dB

• Uniform provided by PureField Ingredients

• Leather boots required

• Additional PPE required when handling hazardous chemicals
