Overview
Pure Soccer is seeking a talented new weekend manager to join its innovative team. We’re looking for a self-motivated, self-starter, with one to two years of high-level coaching or playing experience to work with our grassroots-age players (ages 6-12) and help them reach their full potential on and off the field.
This part-time position will be based at our Woodlands, Texas facility. Pure Soccer coaches adhere to a high standard of quality and excellence with their training and do so in a state-of-the-art environment with a proven training curriculum that's rapidly improving players of all levels.
Supervision of the facility and clients:
- Responsibly hold a key to the facility in case of emergency, including having to open the facility on a given day.
- Be ready to act in case the person in charge of opening on a specific day will be late.
- Oversee general aspects of the facility, including reporting maintenance issues.
- Oversee proper client behavior and act accordingly. Report any issues to the Director of Coaching or Manager.
- Lead by example, representing leadership at Pure Soccer, especially in the absence of the Director of Coaching and/or Manager in charge.
Supervision of coaches:
- Check the schedule weekly and daily to know assigned coaches for the weekend.
- Communicate with Front Desk and coaching staff in case there’s a scheduling issue/conflict.
- Coaches must be proactive/involved in the sessions.
- Coaches must be specific in their explanations, be able to demonstrate, and make corrections.
- Coaches must transition quickly from one exercise to the next for a more efficient time management.
- Coaches must limit phone/device exposure and demonstrate attention towards their clients.
- Coaches must provide a positive interaction while challenging their players to improve.
Fields/Material:
- Make sure field space is in proper conditions before/after sessions.
- Uniformed material organization
- Check condition of goals and inserts
- Pump balls once (1) a week
- Respect field use between coaches
Methodology:
- Revise our training methodology.
- Follow session plans/options without affecting the structure
- Communicate with other coaches to share ideas
Other:
- Set up a player evaluation/report process.
- Look at advancement opportunities for players.
- Support onboarding process for new coaches.
- Coaching Qualifications:
- Completed USSF Grassroots certifications and SafeSoccer certification.
- Previous managerial experience is a plus.
