Part-Time Roofing Canvasser / Appointment Setter

Job Summary

Pure Roofing Company is building a professional part-time canvassing team to connect Louisville-area homeowners with roof inspections and replacement estimates.

This is a neighborhood-based, door-to-door position—not an inside calling or high-pressure roofing sales role. Your job is to start friendly conversations with homeowners, identify a legitimate roofing need and schedule a qualified appointment for one of our roofing specialists.

You will not be expected to climb roofs, diagnose damage, prepare estimates, explain insurance coverage or sell roofing contracts. Pure Roofing provides paid training, field coaching, organized neighborhoods and a company truck or van that transports the team from the office to assigned canvassing areas.

This is a great opportunity for someone who wants flexible part-time hours, guaranteed hourly pay, performance bonuses and the ability to grow into a full-time roofing sales or leadership position.

Compensation

• $18 per hour starting pay
• Opportunity to increase to $20 per hour after certification or successful completion of the first 30 days, subject to company approval
• Weekly production bonuses based on completed qualified appointments:
• 0–4 completed appointments: $0
• 5–6 completed appointments: $50
• 7–8 completed appointments: $100
• 9–10 completed appointments: $150
• 11–12 completed appointments: $250
• 13–14 completed appointments: $350
• 15 or more completed appointments: $500
• Additional cash contests and team challenges may be offered

Only the highest weekly bonus tier achieved is paid. Bonus tiers are not cumulative.

Schedule

• Approximately 15–25 hours per week
• Primarily weekday afternoons and evenings
• Some Saturday availability
• Flexible part-time scheduling within assigned canvassing shifts
• Scheduled shifts generally begin and end at the Pure Roofing office

Duties

• Meet at the Pure Roofing office before scheduled field shifts
• Travel with the canvassing team to assigned neighborhoods in a Pure Roofing truck or van
• Speak with homeowners in approved Louisville-area neighborhoods
• Ask simple, conversational questions about the age, history and condition of their roofs
• Identify homeowners who may benefit from a roof inspection, repair, replacement quote or upgrade
• Schedule qualified appointments for Pure Roofing’s roofing specialists
• Accurately enter homeowner and appointment information into the company’s approved system
• Confirm that homeowners understand the purpose and timing of the appointment
• Participate in paid training, field coaching and team meetings
• Follow assigned neighborhood, safety and homeowner-conduct expectations
• Represent Pure Roofing professionally and respectfully

What You Will Not Be Expected to Do

• Climb onto roofs
• Diagnose roofing or storm damage
• Measure roofs
• Prepare estimates
• Sell roofing contracts
• Explain or promise insurance coverage
• Pressure homeowners into making decisions
• Use your personal vehicle while canvassing

What Counts as a Qualified Appointment

An appointment must:

• Be knowingly scheduled by the homeowner or an authorized decision-maker
• Be located within Pure Roofing’s approved service area
• Involve a legitimate roofing concern, question, inspection need, repair, replacement interest or request for a quote
• Include accurate contact and appointment information
• Be entered correctly into the approved system
• Be completed by the assigned Pure Roofing representative

Canceled appointments, no-shows, duplicate leads, false information and properties outside the service area do not count unless Pure Roofing approves a documented exception.

Qualifications

• Professional in appearance and communication
• Comfortable working outdoors and walking through neighborhoods
• Able to accurately use a smartphone-based tracking system
• At least 18 years old
• Legally authorized to work in the United States

Previous canvassing, customer service, hospitality, retail, athletics, fundraising or sales experience is helpful, but it is not required. Pure Roofing will train the right person.

Transportation and Smartphone Requirements

• Reliable transportation to and from the Pure Roofing office is required
• Canvassers will meet at the office before scheduled field shifts
• The team will travel together from the office to assigned neighborhoods in a Pure Roofing truck or van
• Canvassers are not expected to use their personal vehicles while canvassing
• A reliable smartphone with an active cellular data plan is required
• Canvassers will use their personal smartphones for reasonable work-related communication, navigation and appointment entry
• Pure Roofing will provide access to required applications and training
