Role Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented Senior Cost Accountant with a strong background in Cost Accounting and Inventory Management to join our growing finance team. This role is critical in ensuring the accuracy of our manufacturing/production costs, maintaining the integrity of our fixed asset ledger, and managing complex inventory schedules. As a NetSuite user, you will leverage the system to drive reporting accuracy and process efficiency. You will be a key player in budgeting, Annual Operating Plan (AOP) creation, and driving "floor-to-report" KPIs to ensure operational transparency.
Key Responsibilities
- Cost & Inventory Control: Maintain standard costs, analyze production variances, and oversee valuation and cycle count schedules.
- Operational Oversight: Drive "floor-to-report" KPIs; ensure physical operations are accurately reflected in financial reporting.
- Financial Planning: Assist in the creation of the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and departmental budgets.
- Full Cycle Asset Management: Manage the fixed asset lifecycle and facility-related cost tracking.
- Treasury & Cash Management: Prepare weekly cash flow projections and oversee the AP/AR function (including vendor reconciliation, payment processing, and collections).
- Compliance & Reporting: Support payroll accounting, intercompany reconciliations, and the preparation of monthly/quarterly reporting packages.
- General Ledger Accounting: Ensure GAAP compliant accounting and alignment with corporate policies.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Experience: 3–5 years in a manufacturing or distribution environment.
- Systems: NetSuite and DataNinja experience is highly preferred (Inventory, Fixed Asset, and Costing modules).
- Excel: Advanced (Pivot tables, VLOOKUPs/XLOOKUPs, data modeling).
