We are a small and rapidly growing mold remediation company in Madison, WI that is focused on health and whole home remediations. This job is fun, exciting, and fast paced. This job is partially hourly and partially commission based.
What you’ll do
- Perform on-site inspections and assessments of mold in a home including taking samples if needed
- Sell the job — explain the scope, the process, and the value to the property owner, write the estimate on-site and get the work authorized
- Write up the scope of work, job notes, upload photos and summary, keep it organized
- Communicate effectively with the team members performing the work
- Ensure work performed lines up with the scope of work via CRM
- Serve as the primary point of contact for the customer on and off site
- Oversee completion of the project

Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience in the mold industry -either with mold inspections or with remediation. A good candidate is someone who has been a lead technician at a restoration company. As a substitute for these 2 years experience, one could have extensive experience in home inspections, construction, remodeling, or another industry where you have experience with understanding where mold is found in a building knowledge of building science. As an additional substitute, one could have an education in industrial hygiene, building biology, etc.
- Ability to work 40- 65 hours/week as well as communicate with clients via cell from home
- Ability to comfortably multi-task and manage multiple project simultaneously
- Ability to use technology
- Valid driver’s license and good driving record
- Basic knowledge of a how a house is put together/building science
Physical requirements:
- Ability to navigate crawl spaces, attics, and stairs, and work in environments requiring PPE and respiratory protection
Preferred
- Previous experience as a project manager or mold inspector
What we offer
- Approximately $50,000 base pay plus uncapped commission — most PMs in this role should earn $80,000 – $100,000 in their first year
