Position Summary
The Schedule Coordinator is responsible for scheduling, coordinating, and optimizing all field operations for solar installation and servicing projects. This role ensures that crews, materials, subcontractors, and inspections are scheduled efficiently to meet project timelines, maximize productivity, and deliver a high-quality customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
Scheduling & Coordination
· Develop and manage daily and weekly installation schedules for field crews
· Assign jobs based on crew skill level, project requirements, and geographic efficiency
· Adjust schedules in real-time to account for weather, delays, or changing priorities
· Coordinate with sales, permitting, engineering, and operations teams to ensure project readiness
Resource Management
· Ensure crews are fully prepared with correct materials, equipment, and documentation
· Coordinate delivery schedules with the warehouse and suppliers
· Schedule subcontractors (e.g., electricians, excavation crews, roofers) as needed
Customer & Stakeholder Communication
· Communicate project timelines and updates to customers
· Coordinate appointment confirmations and resolve scheduling conflicts
· Provide clear updates to internal teams on project status and changes
Project Tracking & Reporting
· Monitor project progress and ensure milestones are met on time
· Maintain accurate scheduling records in CRM or project management systems
· Generate reports on crew utilization, job completion rates, and scheduling efficiency
Problem Solving
· Identify scheduling conflicts, delays, or inefficiencies and implement solutions
· Continuously improve scheduling processes to increase efficiency and reduce downtime
Preferred Qualifications
· 2 years of experience in construction scheduling, logistics, or operations coordination (solar or construction preferred)
· Strong organizational and time management skills
· Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
· Proficiency with scheduling software, CRM systems, and Microsoft Office/Google Workspace
· Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
· Knowledge of solar installation processes (preferred but not required)
