Job Title: Responsible Research and Innovation Administrator

Job Summary

The Responsible Research and Innovation Administrator (RRIA) works to promote research excellence for the university through partnerships with researchers and research administrators. The RRIA covers both Research Related Conflict of Interest (RR-COI) and Responsible Conduct of Research (RCR) areas and encourages proactive collaboration and understanding of research compliance management and mitigation processes, as well as researcher training requirements. This position works as a liaison between researchers and research administration offices to solve compliance concerns and promote ethical conduct of research through proactive outreach and leadership.

The position reports to the Assistant Vice President for Research and facilitates the operationalization of research regulations into effective practices for university processes. The incumbent develops RR-COI and RCR resources and training materials. The role assists in delivering RR-COI and RCR educational programs to the campus research community, providing both personalized and broad assistance. This position will develop and implement effective processes for tracking and generating reports relevant to federal regulations and records requests from external and internal entities.

This role is on-site, especially during the first year, to support hands-on training and close collaboration with your supervisor and team. Because the work is highly specialized, being on campus will help you build confidence and master the responsibilities. After training is successfully completed, there may be opportunities to transition into a hybrid schedule.

At Purdue, you’ll join a community where unrivaled pride and unlimited potential are more than just words—they’re the foundation of how we work and grow, together. If you’re ready to help build a better world through research that matters, take the next step and join us on this path.
