We are currently seeking an Associate Engineer, which is a temporary, part-time position for an engineering student or recent graduate. This position reports directly to the Engineering Project Manager and is a vital part of the goal to develop automated methods for testing system software.
Engineering Innovation, Inc. (EII) based in Lafayette, Indiana (just 20 minutes away from Purdue University) has been a premier provider of postal automation since 2006. EII is a small but growing dynamic company looking for highly motivated individuals to join its engineering team. The engineering team is responsible for the design, construction, testing, maintenance, and documentation of world-class postal automation equipment as well as assisting in defining the overall product direction.

Position Responsibilities Include
- Testing
- Write and Execute Test Cases for testing EII’s equipment and software applications.
- Utilize Virtual Machines (VMs) to Test EII’s software applications.
- Development
- Develop software applications that will automatically test EII's production software applications.
- Documentation
- Document procedures, test results, and troubleshooting steps.
- Document prototype system set-up and components. (network diagrams, wiring diagrams, etc.)
- Document software and system component interactions (activity diagrams, sequence diagrams, etc.)
- Ability to work a minimum of 32 hours/week (Monday – Friday, no nights or weekends).
- Excellent problem-solving skills

- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail
- Python, C/C#/C programming languages
- Windows and Linux (Debian) operating systems
- Microsoft SQL Server database
