What are the responsibilities and job description for the Processing Operator position at Puratos?
As a Processing Operator at Puratos, you will play a crucial role in maintaining high quality standards by operating UHT process equipment, including automation systems, processing machines, and powered industrial trucks. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Safely working with automated industrial equipment, including operation, change over, and basic maintenance.
- Reporting all food safety and quality issues to your immediate supervisor and/or quality technician.
- Immediately reporting any safety issues to your supervisor, maintenance, or management.
You will also be responsible for the overall safety, quality, and efficiency of your work center, maintaining a neat and sanitary work area at all times. Additionally, you will demonstrate the ability to operate and understand control systems, learn specific UHT areas until mastery is confirmed, and rotate positions as needed.
Requirements
- A minimum of 2 years' experience as an operator in a related industry.
- A high school diploma or equivalent required.
- Basic computer literacy and the ability to use production computer screens as instructed.
- The ability to train other production operators and complete skill assessments with passing scores.
- SQF training, GMP training, and SOP training are also required.
