What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dog Groomer position at PupScrub?
Looking to hire a Dog Groomer for our open concept, express service dog grooming salon.
Two years of experience professionally grooming dogs is required; must have knowledge of all breed styles and standards, as well as a thorough understanding of animal behavior.
Our salon is very fast-paced; must be skilled at multi-tasking. You should be physically able to handle dogs up to 60 pounds, while maintaining a gentle and respectful demeanor with difficult dogs.
Candidate should have a positive, upbeat attitude with coworkers in our well-established team atmosphere. Must show a high level of professionalism with customers in conformance with the affluent area in which we are located. When interacting with clients, candidate must demonstrate outstanding communication skills; be meticulous and conscientious.
Responsibilities:
You will be expected to groom five dogs per day.
- Complete full haircut packages. This includes a bath, brush out, nail clip, pad shave, foot trim, sanitary trim, anal gland expression, ear cleaning/plucking, and all-over haircut.
- Attend to self-wash and walk-in customers.
- Answer phones to schedule appointments and answer questions.
- Keep shop tidy, cycle laundry and sanitize throughout the day.
Compensation is commission 100% tips.
Full-time is preferred, but part-time is also an option.
