Duties

• Assist with food preparation, including slicing, chopping, and assembling ingredients following recipe guidelines and safety standards
• Operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, mixers, blenders, and other culinary tools safely and efficiently
• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen stations by cleaning utensils, surfaces, and equipment regularly to meet hygiene standards
• Support meal preparation and plating to ensure timely service during busy hours
• Follow food handling procedures diligently to uphold food safety management protocols
• Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to coordinate tasks and ensure smooth workflow
• Aid in menu planning by preparing ingredients as directed and assisting with catering setups when needed

Qualifications

• Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or culinary environments is preferred but not required; willingness to learn is essential
• Familiarity with dietary department or dietary aide experience is a plus
• Knowledge of food safety standards in production and handling is highly desirable
• Ability to perform basic knife skills, slicing techniques, and food preparation tasks accurately
• Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with kitchen team members
• Experience operating kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
• Passion for the food industry with a keen interest in developing culinary expertise

Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
