What are the responsibilities and job description for the Veterinary Assistant position at Pungo Veterinary Clinic?
We are seeking a reliable, hard-working individual who has worked in the veterinary field. Duties include:
Help check in patients and help owners understand after care instructions when pets go home.
Answer questions about patient care, invoices when needed.
This is a busy practice and involves being on your feet, getting on the floor, lifting and restraining patients.
Someone who is proactive about helping and getting things done.
Drawing blood, doing fecals and ear cytologies, running in-house lab work and preparing samples to be sent to lab.
Doing nail trims and ear cleanings and other procedures.
Walking and feeding hospitalized dogs.
Keeping the clinic stocked and ready for appointments and surgeries.
Also keeping the clinic clean during the day as well as weekly and monthly checklists need to be followed.
Applicant enjoys working with people and pets.
Reliable transportation and showing up to work is important.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
