What are the responsibilities and job description for the Recruitment Specialist position at Puller Veterans Care Center?
Recruitment, Hiring, Misc HR Duties.
Post positions on state PageUp system. Aids the recruitment and selection function for PVCC. Coordinates the recruitment and selection process in accordance with policy/practice; provides managers and supervisors with guidance and direction. Provides policy interpretation, guidance, advises team member and managers in the methods of recruitment selection. Verifies appropriate classification and requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities of position prior to recruitment and provides diverse recruiting and selection services to locate the best qualified employees for each position. Obtains approval for exceptional salary requests. Advises managers regarding EEO regulations relative to recruitment and employment practices. Ensures that recruitment letters are completed. Ensures timely preparation of acknowledgement, rejection, and offer letters. Maintains recruitment documentation and files. Conducts salary surveys and analyzes results. Receive and process all incoming applications and then forward to appropriate Department Head. Set-up interviews for all positions. Employment verifications. Schedules and handles General Orientation for all new PVCC employees to include drug and PPD testing. Attend State training/conferences related to these duties.
Worker’s Compensation and Safety
Random Drug Testing
Process random drug testing for the Facility.
Selects and recommends panel physicians as needed and ensures all workers compensation forms are kept updated. Interacts with insurance carrier and other state representatives as required. Monitors return to work program and required documentation such as light duty and full duty release notes. Answer questions on Workers Compensation for employees and management. Tracks and compiles data on Workers Compensation to keep management informed on employee statuses, lost time and statistical data. Attend State training/conferences related to the program.
Entering Data into the State System
Leave Backup
Enter required information into the State systems, Cardinal, VNAV and VRS for new hires, terminations, benefits and corrections/changes/updates. Coordinate the maintenance of all personnel records for classified and wage employees in accordance with state and agency policies.
Serves as a backup for Leave.
VSDP, FMLA and Leave Sharing
Process all aspects of the short term and long-term disability programs, FMLA and Leave Sharing. Attend state training/conferences related to the program.
Retirement, Terminations/Resignations
Complete all paperwork and keying of information into Cardinal for all term/resign and retirements. Make corrections/changes/updates as needed. Attend state training/conferences related to these programs.
VEC Hearings
Social Service Agencies
Grievances
Provide VEC with requested information on former employees and conduct hearings.
Complete forms/documents for employees as needed.
Work with employee on completing and routing grievances through the proper channels. Track grievances through the entire process and enter into the state system as required.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
