Summary/Objective
Reporting to the Head of Accounting & Finance, the Cost Accountant is responsible for manufacturing cost accounting, completing SAP Controlling (CO) month-end close, analyzing financial results, and preparing timely reporting for senior leadership. This role ensures sales, operations, and leadership teams have a clear understanding of manufacturing costs, financial performance, and cost drivers impacting business decisions.
Essential Functions
- Manage SAP product costing and related master data.
- Execute SAP CO month-end close activities accurately and on schedule.
- Analyze manufacturing costs and income statement accounts, identifying trends and variance drivers.
- Prepare and report key financial and sales data, including variances to budget, forecast, and prior periods.
- Produce monthly financial reports for multiple departments.
- Participate in the annual financial audit and provide required documentation.
- Manage product costing and sales assumptions for the annual budgeting process.
- Support cross-functional teams with product cost estimates and financial modeling.
- Perform additional tasks and special projects as assigned by management.

Required Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, or a related field
- 5 years of manufacturing cost accounting, financial analysis, reporting, and month-end close experience
- 5 years of hands-on SAP Controlling (CO) experience
Preferred Education and Experience
- Experience with SAP S/4HANA
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and Access
