General Custodian (evening shift)

Maumelle High School

HOURS: 2:30 pm - 11:00 pm

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience in custodial work or willingness to learn
• Ability to do physical labor

REPORTS TO: Building Principal/Area Supervisor

JOB GOAL: To provide students with a safe, attractive, comfortable, clean and efficient place in which to learn, play, and develop.

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

• 
  Scrub, mop, wax, and polish floors as needed.
• Vacuum and clean carpet.
• Dust and polish furniture, wash windows, woodwork, venetian blinds, and bathrooms.
• Responsible for removal of trash from assigned areas.
• Clean up grounds and perform the routine tasks required in the care of the grounds.
• Move office and school furniture as needed.
• Perform work at varying heights on a ladder.
• Perform some heavy lifting.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:

Salary Range: Range 1 - Support Staff Hourly Salary Schedule ($15.00/hr. - $21.06/hr. depending on relevant experience)

Length of Contract: 182 contract days, 8 hours per day

FLSA Status: Non-exempt

Personnel Status: Classified

EVALUATION:

Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Board's policy on Evaluation of Support Staff Personnel.
