Description
Supervise and engage in activities with students enrolled in the PACE After school program. Assist in maintaining a safe, healthy and nurturing environment for the children.
Monday through Friday, 6:30am to 8:30am, 10 hours per week, when school is in session

Job Goal: To effectively provide supervision & child care in the PACE Before & After School Program on school days while maintaining a safe, healthy & nurturing environment.
Essential Job Functions:

- Communicate with parents regarding their child and discuss relevant issues with them

Provide appropriate toys and developmentally appropriate activities for young children

Maintain a healthy and safe environment for children and keeping room clean and sanitized

Conduct self in a professional, responsible manner by being punctual, demonstrating appropriate decision making, displaying patience and using positive guidance techniques

Be willing to care for students in the classroom, outside on the playground or where assigned
-
Document inappropriate behavior & health reports when needed
-
Willing to attend and participate in staff meetings/continuing education trainings
-
Be willing to work at other schools when necessary in emergency, & low staffing situations
-
Perform other task as assigned by the Director
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Prefer 18 years of age and completed high school or equivalent education
-
Must be able to individually provide school age care for children in accordance with State of Wisconsin child care guidelines (ages 5 ratio is 1:17)
- Must have CPR & First Aid Training or willing to enroll in courses after hired

Demonstrated ability to:
