Job Overview
Child Central Station, LLC is seeking a part-time Before and After School Program Child Care Teacher.. Our program is known for our child-centered, play based philosophy. During the summer, we provide a full day program for school aged children. During the school year, we provide a before and after school program at Graveraet, Superior Hills, and Sandy Knoll Elementary School. (6:30-9 am and 3:45-6 pm) We spend a lot of time learning and exploring both inside and out. Plan for lots of time outside and lots of activity! This position requires candidates to be 18 years of age or older with reliable transportation. Caregivers must pass a background check, gain first aid and CPR certification, in addition to participate in ongoing training. Candidates must be available for at least 5 shifts (6:30 am - 9:15 am and 3:30pm-6:15pm) Monday-Friday. The preferred candidate will be available at least 15-30 hours/week during the school year with additional hours when covering days off/vacations. The ideal candidate will be available year round, with the opportunity for full time hours during the summer program. Prior experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right person. Opportunities for ongoing professional development and advancement are available. Duties
- Supervise children during before and after school hours, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities as guided by the children that promote learning, creativity, and social skills
- Manage classroom behavior through strong relationships, positive reinforcement, behavior management techniques, and clear expectations
- Maintain accurate attendance records, activity logs, and incident reports in accordance with program policies
- Support children with special needs or behavioral challenges by applying inclusive teaching strategies and collaborating with specialists when necessary
- Ensure adherence to first aid protocols, CPR/AED procedures, and health safety standards to respond effectively to emergencies
Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
