The Contract & Provider Relations Manager is responsible for managing strategic relationships with hospital partners and large medical groups, overseeing contract negotiations, supporting radiologist provider agreements, ensuring timely credentialing, and leading a variety of operational and special projects.
This role serves as a key liaison between the organization, hospital leadership, radiologists, payors, and healthcare partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in Joint Organization Committee meetings with partner hospitals and medical groups
- Serve as a primary point of contact to ensure alignment, communication, and follow-through on key initiatives
- Assist in negotiating and drafting proposals for hospital contracts
- Create and prepare Requests for Proposal (RFPs) for new opportunities
- Verify that contracted payments align with agreed terms
- Review payor agreements for accuracy, financial impact, and operational requirements
- Collaborate with Radiologist Leadership on provider salary contracts
- Provide guidance on compensation models, structure, and compliance
- Ensure completion of Lyra and Go Back reports within required timelines
- Monitor compliance and follow up with leadership as needed
- Coordinate with Optum to ensure timely provider credentialing with payors
- Partner with internal credentialing staff to ensure smooth onboarding and hospital credentialing
- Lead and support projects
Qualifications
- Experience in healthcare contracting, provider relations, or hospital partnership management
- Strong knowledge of payor contracting, credentialing workflows, and reimbursement models
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and project management skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with clinical leadership and external partners
