Teacher's Assistant

Job Summary:

Puddle Jumpers is a vibrant and caring child care center dedicated to providing a safe, nurturing, and educational environment for young children. We are looking for a compassionate, energetic, and dependable Daycare Teacher Assistant to join our team and support our lead teachers in fostering a positive, enriching experience for the children in our care.

Key Responsibilities:

Follow New York State health and safety standards and regulations for daycare facilities.

- Assist lead teacher in daily activities, including lesson planning and maintaining the structure of the classroom and any other tasks

- Cultivate a positive and inclusive atmosphere that encourages social interactions, emotional growth, and cognitive development.

- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment conducive to learning and exploration.

-Assist with feeding, diapering, and toileting as needed, ensuring hygiene and safety protocols are followed.

- Support the social, emotional, and developmental needs of the children, guiding them in daily routines and group interactions.

-Build strong relationships with children and communicate effectively with parents and staff.

Experience:

- Prior experience working with children in a daycare center or educational setting is preferred.

-Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with children, parents, and team members.

- Proficiency in early intervention, literacy education, classroom management, childhood development, and child welfare practices is beneficial.

- Ability to manage classroom dynamics while fostering a positive learning environment for all students.

- IMPORTANT: PATIENT, CARING, AND NURTURING ATTITUDE WITH A PASSION FOR WORKING WITH CHILDREN
- Knowledge of best practices in early childhood education principles and methodologies.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $15.50 - $18.00 per hour

Work Location: In person
