Duties
- Supervise and engage children in age-appropriate activities that promote learning and development
- Provide safe and nurturing care for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers
- Implement behavior management strategies to encourage positive social interactions and emotional regulation
- Assist with daily routines such as feeding, diapering, nap times, and hygiene practices
- Support early childhood education by teaching basic skills, language development, and socialization techniques
- Maintain a clean, organized environment that adheres to health and safety standards
- Communicate regularly with parents or guardians about their child's progress and any concerns
- Administer first aid when necessary and respond promptly to emergencies or incidents
Experience
- Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, babysitting, nannying or similar caregiving roles
- Classroom experience in early childhood education or childhood development programs preferred
- Knowledge of behavior management techniques and childhood development milestones
- Certification in first aid and CPR required or willing to obtain upon hiring
- Willingness to obtain required hours mandated by the state of Georgia on a yearly basis
- Familiarity with toddler care, infant care, and preschool activities is highly valued
- Demonstrated ability to create a safe, nurturing environment that supports learning through play
- Candidate must be able to pass a criminal background check
