Publix is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Intermediate Business Systems Analyst to join our Transportation Systems team. This role is critical in driving innovation and efficiency within our transportation operations by gathering requirements, articulating product vision, and collaborating with stakeholders to design and implement solutions that enhance business processes. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, technical expertise, and the ability to evaluate abstract business processes to recommend cost-saving and revenue-generating solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document business requirements, ensuring alignment with organizational goals
- Articulate product vision and translate business needs into actionable technical solutions
- Evaluate abstract business processes and recommend improvements to optimize cost savings and increase revenue
- Partner with cross-functional teams to design and recommend computer systems that address business challenges and opportunities
- Develop and execute test plans to ensure system functionality aligns with business requirements
- Provide technical expertise by writing SQL queries to analyze data and support decision-making processes
- Maintain a basic understanding of object-oriented programming concepts to effectively communicate with development teams, though coding is not required
- Serve as a liaison between business units and IT teams, ensuring clear communication and collaboration throughout the project lifecycle
- Create and deliver presentations to stakeholders, summarizing findings, recommendations, and project updates
- Stay current with industry trends and best practices to identify opportunities for innovation and improvement
