Teller (part time)
Monday through Friday 11:00 am to 4:00 pm
The key purpose of this position is to provide excellent member service through processing member transactions and answering questions in a timely and accurate manner. Tellers are also responsible for offering products and services to members that can improve their financial well-being, while saving them time and money. Shifts available Monday through Friday from approximately 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. Part time teller work approximately 28 hours per week.
What you will do…
- Process members' transactions, pay out funds, and verify cash.
- Process deposits, check holds, withdrawals, money orders and cashier checks.
- Identify counterfeit currency.
- Manage a cash drawer (or Cash Recycler) and assisting in daily branch balancing.
- Responsible for answering member questions and resolving issues and problems.
- Responsible for performing account maintenance and limited research requests (such as statement copies)
- Responsible for inputting domestic wire transfer requests.
- Responsible for proactively updating the member’s contact information to maintain accuracy.
- Responsible for setting up and modifying EFT records for payroll distribution.
- Responsible for opening Secondary Share accounts
- Responsible for verifying cash shipments and vault buy/sell transactions under dual control.
- Responsible for offering products and services (cross-selling) to help members save time and money.
- Responsible for complying with all credit union policies and applicable regulations.
What you need…
- Previous Cash Handling experience preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Bilingual preferred, but not required (Spanish, Creole)
- Excellent customer services skills
- Excellent Technical aptitude
