Salary: $17.13 to $35.52 hourly
Midpoint: $26.42 hourly

Grant PUD posts the full salary range for each position. The midpoint is provided as a reference point and is not a guaranteed starting pay. Starting pay is based on job-related factors such as qualifications, experience, skills, internal alignment, and organizational needs. Most new hires are typically placed between the minimum and midpoint of the range.

Schedule/Hours:
This position will work every Monday from 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM and is on-call the rest of the week. Working hours are not to exceed
70 hours per month.

Benefits: This position is NOT eligible for District health, retirement, or paid leave benefits, except as required by applicable law.

Grant County PUD will conduct a background check after a contingent offer of employment has been made, if selected for this position.

Position Summary

Under general supervision, this position provides administrative and operational support to the Office Services department by coordinating essential business support functions, including mail services, print shop operations, office equipment support, and courier services. Ensures the efficient and accurate processing of customer correspondence, the timely delivery of print and mail services, and the reliable operation of office equipment to support organizational needs. Assists with the coordination of contracted courier services and contributes to the continuity of daily business operations through responsive customer service, effective communication, and attention to detail.

Essential duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Process and distribute incoming and outgoing USPS mail, ensuring timely, accurate, and efficient daily mail operations.
  • Receive, inventory, stock, and distribute office supplies to employees while maintaining appropriate inventory levels.
  • Complete print shop requests, including copying, binding, laminating, and finishing services, ensuring accurate and timely delivery of materials.
  • Support interoffice mail, courier, and package delivery services by coordinating with contracted courier services as directed.
  • Operate, monitor, and perform routine maintenance on office services equipment, including copiers, printers, postage, and mail processing equipment; report equipment issues requiring repair.
  • Assist with maintaining the Office Services SharePoint site and department records to ensure information remains accurate and current.
  • Assist with inventory management and distribution of employee recognition items and other office services materials.
  • Perform a variety of administrative support duties, including scanning, copying, filing, data entry, and records management.
  • Provide responsive, professional, and customer-focused service to employees and external contacts while maintaining positive working relationships.
  • Support departmental operations by assisting with special projects and performing other duties as assigned.
  • Demonstrated commitment to Grant PUD’s mission, vision, values, strategic plan, and Grant PUD / IBEW Local 77 Code of Excellence. The incumbent should be familiar with these organizational priorities and behave in a way that aligns with these expectations.
  • Understand and adhere to compliance requirements for this position that may include laws, regulations, security guidelines, Grant PUD policies & Procedures.
  • In this position, if needed to operate a GPUD vehicle for business purposes, please refer to the Vehicle/Asset Usage Policy, IS-TA-POL-001.
  • Actively participate in all aspects of our safety program, including but not limited to:
    • Following all safety policies and procedures.
    • Alerting supervisors and coworkers to unsafe or hazardous working conditions.
    • Reporting any safety incidents or close calls within 24 hours to your supervisor.
    •  Accepting feedback from supervisors and coworkers regarding your own safety performance.

Required Qualifications (Education, Experience, Licenses & Certifications):

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications (Education, Experience, Licenses & Certifications):

  • Customer service and/or general office experience.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).

Other Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Basic knowledge of general office operations and administrative procedures.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and maintain confidentiality.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to follow established procedures and seek guidance when needed.
