POSITION: Carpentry Supervisor
SALARY: GRADE 65: $3,268.09 monthly (Starting Salary)
DEADLINE DATE FOR RECEIVING APPLICATIONS: October 29, 2025
WORK LOCATION: Maintenance Department – Plant Operations
QUALIFICATIONS:
1) High School Diploma.
2) Hold a valid North Carolina Driver’s License.
3) 7 to 10 years of experience in the supervision of institutional and commercial construction projects in the field of carpentry.
4) Demonstrate aptitude or competence for assigned responsibility.
5) Must be team oriented with a strong “lead by example” style of leadership.
6) Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
1) Layout of building foundations, footings, etc.
2) Construction methods and procedures for all types of school projects.
3) Lifts, scaffolding and specialized construction equipment a must.
4) OSHA Safety procedures and practices.
5) Metal stud construction and development.
6) Experience in supervision of carpentry and construction staff.
7) Experience n the area of construction estimation a must.
8) General roofing repairs and designs.
9) Advanced knowledge of building materials, fasteners, etc.
10) Other duties that may be assigned by the Maintenance Director.
