Responsibilities
- Read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, and technical drawings to ensure precise execution of projects
- Operate hand tools and power tools for woodworking, framing, drywall installation, fixture mounting, siding, and trim carpentry
- Perform heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks safely and efficiently on construction sites
- Install various wood construction materials including cabinetry, moldings, siding, and framing components
- Execute tasks such as rebar installation, plastering, drywall hanging and finishing, caulking, and metal stud framing
- Assist with remodeling projects and restoration industry tasks including mold remediation and fixture replacement
- Follow power tool safety protocols while using woodworking machines and power tools for woodworking projects
- Support site cleanup, material handling, reassembly of structures, and other labor-intensive duties as needed
Experience
- Proven construction site experience with a strong background in residential carpentry or remodeling projects
- Skilled in interpreting technical drawings and construction plans accurately
- Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools for woodworking, woodworking machines, and drywall finishing
- Familiarity with metal stud framing, rebar installation, plastering techniques, siding installation, and fixture mounting
- Knowledge of safety procedures related to power tools usage and general construction site safety standards
- Experience in the restoration industry or mold remediation is a plus
- Ability to lift heavy materials consistently while maintaining safety standards
- Previous handyman experience or cabinet installation expertise is highly desirable
