About the Role

We are seeking an Engineering Operations Manager to lead the reliability, execution, and lifecycle management of the technical systems powering our 24/7 broadcast and streaming operations.

This role sits at the center of engineering and operations. You will serve as the primary escalation point for technical issues, own infrastructure maintenance and engineering projects, and coordinate across internal teams and third-party vendors to ensure system stability and continuous improvement.

What You’ll Do

Operational Engineering & Escalation

• Serve as the primary engineering escalation point for NOC Supervisors.
• Lead triage and resolution of technical issues impacting broadcast and streaming systems.
• Coordinate response during live or high-impact system failures.
• Escalate strategic or unresolved issues to senior leadership with clear recommendations.

Infrastructure Reliability & Maintenance

• Own planning and execution of technical maintenance events.
• Oversee patching, firmware updates, system upgrades, and infrastructure improvements.
• Maintain documentation, configuration standards, and change management processes.
• Conduct post-incident reviews and implement corrective measures.

Engineering Project Execution

• Manage engineering projects from planning through deployment.
• Coordinate new station launches, system integrations, platform upgrades, and infrastructure expansions.
• Track timelines, milestones, and cross-functional dependencies.
• Ensure operational readiness before go-live.

Vendor & Consultant Management

• Act as primary liaison for broadcast, networking, and IT vendors.
• Coordinate diagnostics and root cause investigations with external partners.
• Track vendor SLAs and performance.
• Ensure vendor-delivered systems meet operational standards.

Asset & Lifecycle Management

• Oversee equipment retrieval, storage, and inventory tracking.
• Manage hardware lifecycle planning and end-of-life risk.
• Maintain accurate infrastructure and asset records.

Technical Evaluation & Continuous Improvement

• Evaluate new technologies and services.
• Recommend infrastructure improvements based on operational data.
• Identify recurring issues and drive process improvements.

What We’re Looking For

• 5 years of experience in broadcast, streaming, or technical infrastructure operations.
• Strong understanding of video encoding, playout/automation systems, and distribution workflows.
• Working knowledge of networking fundamentals (routing, switching, firewalls).
• Experience managing technical vendors and consultants.
• Proven ability to operate in live, high-availability environments.
• Strong documentation and organizational skills.
• Calm, structured decision-making under pressure.

Nice to Have

• Experience with OTT/FAST channel operations.
• Familiarity with virtualization, server infrastructure, and storage systems.
• Background in 24/7 NOC or master control environments.
• Project management experience in technical deployments.
