LOCATION: Charlotte, NC (On-site, Regional Travel Required)
CONTRACT: ~12 weeks (temporary coverage) | Pay: $1700–1800/week
Public Label is hiring a Freelance Tour Manager to lead a mobile sampling tour activating across the Charlotte market and surrounding region. This program brings a high-energy food brand to festivals, retail stops, cultural events, and community spaces while also supporting light off-premise outreach to local restaurants and small shops.
This is a temporary backfill role, requiring immediate ownership of an active program.
What You’ll Do
Event & Activation Leadership
• Manage load-in, setup, activation flow, sampling, and teardown
• Bring strong energy and brand personality to every event
• Maintain a polished footprint: signage, assets, props, displays
• Drive trial and engagement through high-volume sampling
Vehicle Operations & Logistics
• Oversee daily vehicle readiness including fueling, cleanliness, and safety
• Travel frequently within Charlotte and surrounding markets
• Manage refrigerated product handling and onsite storage
• Coordinate permits, site access, and venue logistics
Staff Leadership
• Lead Brand Ambassadors at events
• Train onsite teams on sampling, messaging, and engagement
• Maintain staffing consistency, performance, and morale
Off-Premise Outreach (Light Sales Component)
This role includes ASM-style outreach to restaurants, small retailers, and foodservice accounts.
You will:
• Visit restaurants, independent grocers, delis, cafés, and convenience stores
• Introduce the product and leave behind sample bottles
• Share usage ideas with chefs, owners, and managers
• Collect feedback to strengthen grassroots brand presence
• Document each visit with notes and photos
These touchpoints are relationship-based, not quota-driven.
Content & Reporting
• Capture photos and short clips for social content
• Track KPIs including samples, engagement, and foot traffic
• Submit daily recaps and weekly summaries
What You Bring
• 4 years in field marketing, mobile tours, or experiential roles
• Strong event leadership and consumer engagement skills
• Ability to drive and maintain a branded vehicle
• Comfortable with regional travel
• Able to lift 30 pounds and work outdoors in all conditions
• Highly organized, proactive, reliable, and strong under pressure
• Clean driving record required
• Comfortable doing friendly outreach to restaurants and retailers
