California Public Employees' Retirement System (CalPERS) Financial Reporting and Accounting Services Division is seeking an Accounting Trainee to provide professional accounting duties to support the Travel Unit.
The Accounting Trainee's duties include but are not limited to:
- Processing and reimbursing administrative revolving fund account advances and payments
- Payment, recording, reporting, and reconciliation of travel, training, salary, and miscellaneous expenses, accounts receivables, and payroll
- Audit relocation and travel expense claims and other requests for reimbursement from employees, board members, and retirees

Effective July 1, 2025, The California Department of Human Resources (CalHR) implemented the Personal Leave Program 2025 (PLP 2025). PLP 2025 directs that each employee shall receive a 3 percent reduction in pay in exchange for 5 hours PLP 2025 leave credits, monthly. The salary range(s) included in the job advertisement do not reflect the 3 percent reduction in pay.

- This position is designated as office-centered and works primarily onsite at the Sacramento, CA - Headquarters at least three weekdays.
- Must be able to work in the office Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
