JOB DESCRIPTION-

POSITION: Employer Engagement Coordinator

HOURS: 8:30-5:00


POSITION DESCRIPTION: We are seeking a person with workforce development experience capable of interacting with clients and employers. The successful candidate will lead the placement and retention work as a component of the Employment Services programing. The Employer Engagement Coordinator is responsible for connecting eligible clients with participating partner employers for placement.


POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

• Must have a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, social work, or related area of study.

• Must have experience with workforce development.

• Experience or a working knowledge of the criminal justice system is a plus.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Conduct initial job site analysis with potential employer partners including on-site position analysis.

• Develop and nurture relationships with employers to understand their business and job requirements of positions they seek to fill.

• Serve as the main point of contact for all partner employers.

• Maintain contact and dialogue with all the partner employers

• Respond to employer concerns about placed clients on possible solutions or intervention where necessary.

• Develop partnerships with employers where clients are placed to ensure the creation of a jobs pipeline.

• Work with employers to identify specific skills they are seeking and identify processes for clients to acquire those skills.

• Facilitate weekly Career Networking sessions.

• Match eligible clients with open positions with partner employers.

• Monitor employment progress of clients who secure employment positions (i.e. promotions, raises, etc.).

• Analyze why clients are terminated or not hired to fine tune the recruitment process so people remain employed at a higher rate.

• Work closely with the CWF team of coaches, sharing and coordinating income and work support related information to the other coaches as they coach participants to economic self-sufficiency.

• Respect cultural diversity. Maintain confidentiality.


QUALIFICATIONS:

• Requires patience, excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Requires strong organizational and interpersonal skills.

• Requires cultural competence and appreciations of diversity.

• Excellent time management skills.

• Be flexible, punctual and dependable.


PACE, INC. RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Always represent PACE in the most professional way especially when in the community.

• Attend and actively participate in all staff meetings.

• Submit requested information for Monthly Newsletter or other Development activity.

• Participate in development when requested.

• Maintain regular and consistent contact with the case managers.

• Participate in and/or conduct staff reviews.

• Participate in management and budget meetings with the Executive Director as requested.

• Share news, information, new sources with staff; especially as it pertains to development.

• Always dress, speak and conduct yourself in an appropriate and professional manner.


TRAINING:

• Attend trainings when necessary.

• Remain educated about employment landscape in Marion County.


OTHER:

• All other duties as assigned.


BENEFITS: This position is eligible for a comprehensive benefits package, which includes medical,

dental, vision insurance, life insurance paid in full for the employee; paid holidays, and 12 hours of

PTO accrued per month with an additional 8 hours of PTO accrued, with the employee’s birth month

to be utilized as a floating holiday.

Our team believes that felonies don’t define futures, and that no one’s life should be defined by their worst day.

To support successful re-entry, PACE works to reduce recidivism and advance equity through the following:

• Providing direct services to those who have already exited incarceration, including employment training and placement services, recovery and relapse prevention supports, assistance enrolling in public programs and securing basic needs, and more.

• Helping individuals while incarcerated to identify their individual needs and goals to prepare for re-entry.

• Providing advocacy services at the state and local levels to support equitable public policy.

• Sharing statistical data about our clientele and the broader justice system to educate key stakeholders, including employers and other community organizations.

• Closely coordinating with the court system and correctional facilities to develop a pathway to successful re-entry and ensure greater connectivity to services.

• Offers evidence-based training in the areas of re-entry and substance use disorder and recovery.


PACE is a member of the Marion County Re-Entry Coalition and a certified Recovery Community Organization (RCO). As a nonprofit 501(c)3, PACE has been a United Way agency since 1967.
