Duties
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival, creating a welcoming atmosphere from the moment they walk in
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring special requests are noted and accommodated
- Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and sanitation
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales, utilizing knowledge of specials and wine pairings
- Manage guest relations by addressing questions, resolving concerns promptly, and ensuring overall satisfaction
- Handle cash transactions accurately through cashiering systems, including cash handling and basic math calculations
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by bussing tables, resetting dining areas, and assisting with food handling procedures
Experience
- Previous restaurant experience in food service or hospitality roles is highly preferred
- Experience with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus
- Fine dining or upscale restaurant background is desirable for delivering elevated guest service
- Knowledge of food safety protocols, sanitation practices, and proper food handling techniques is essential
- Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy service hours
- Familiarity with OpenTable reservation system or similar booking platforms enhances guest flow management
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to upsell menu items confidently and professionally
