PTS Advance is partnering with a leading engineering consulting firm to identify a Senior Electrical Engineer with experience designing electrical systems for healthcare and hospital facilities. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing team focused on delivering innovative solutions for hospitals, medical office buildings, ambulatory care centers, and healthcare campuses.
As a key member of the engineering team, you will lead the design and coordination of complex electrical systems that support critical healthcare operations while collaborating with clients, architects, contractors, and multidisciplinary engineering teams.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design of electrical systems for healthcare and hospital projects.
- Develop power distribution, lighting, emergency power, fire alarm, and low-voltage system designs.
- Prepare engineering calculations, technical reports, specifications, and construction documents.
- Coordinate with architects, owners, contractors, and internal project teams.
- Ensure designs comply with NEC, NFPA, energy codes, healthcare regulations, and industry standards.
- Support projects through all phases, including planning, design, construction, and commissioning.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers and designers.
- Participate in client meetings and support business development initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering
- E.I.T. certification required
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred, or willingness to obtain PE licensure in the near future
- 8 years of electrical engineering experience
- Healthcare, hospital, or medical facility project experience required
- Experience designing power distribution, lighting, emergency power, and life safety systems
- Proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD, and electrical design software
- Strong communication, project management, and leadership skills
