Position Overview
A leading energy company is seeking a Pressure Equipment Integrity (PEI) Inspector to support the reliability, inspection, and mechanical integrity of fixed equipment and piping systems at a large-scale industrial facility. This role will perform field inspections, support integrity management programs, ensure compliance with API/ASME standards, and help maintain safe and reliable operations.
Responsibilities
- Perform inspections of fixed equipment, pressure vessels, and process piping systems.
- Conduct and support nondestructive examination (NDE) activities and evaluate equipment condition.
- Support mechanical integrity programs, inspection intervals, and Integrity Management Systems (IMS).
- Maintain accurate inspection records, reports, and technical documentation.
- Coordinate inspection activities with contractors and internal teams.
- Support welding quality control and verify contractor qualifications.
- Assist with turnaround/outage inspection scopes and integrity-related projects.
- Review equipment drawings, specifications, and installation documentation.
- Provide technical recommendations based on inspection findings and industry standards.
- Support emergency callouts and after-hours needs as required.
Required Qualifications
- 10 years of pressure equipment inspection, mechanical integrity, operations, or maintenance experience in petrochemical, refinery, renewable fuels, or heavy industrial environments.
- Strong knowledge of API and ASME standards.
- Experience with fixed equipment, piping systems, pressure vessels, and NDE methods.
- Experience with inspection management systems and technical documentation.
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- API 510, API 570, and/or API 653 certifications.
- Certified Welding Inspector (CWI).
- Level II NDE certifications (UT, PT, RT, MT, LT).
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgy, Corrosion, or related field preferred.
