Project Coordinator (Engineering & Construction)

📍Chesapeake, VA I Onsite | Full-Time

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Project Coordinator to support engineering and construction projects in a fast-paced, professional environment. This role works closely with Project Managers and cross-functional teams to ensure smooth project execution, accurate documentation, and effective communication across all stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate project activities and support Project Managers with day-to-day operations
• Facilitate communication between clients, vendors, suppliers, and internal project teams
• Prepare and present meeting notes, reports, and presentations using tools like Excel and PowerPoint
• Track project timelines, milestones, and deliverables to ensure deadlines are met
• Plan and coordinate meetings (on-site and off-site), including team meetings, trainings, and stakeholder reviews
• Maintain accurate project documentation, including contracts, invoices, and compliance records
• Verify and process invoices, expense reports, and project-related financial documentation
• Assist with project setup, reporting, forecasting, and closeout activities
• Coordinate training requirements and maintain compliance records for project personnel
• Support IT and administrative needs for project teams
• Investigate billing discrepancies and provide updates to project leadership

Qualifications

• Education & Experience (one of the following): Bachelor’s degree 8 years of experience
• Associate degree 10 years of experience
• High School Diploma/GED 11 years of experience
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access)
• Strong organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively
• Experience supporting engineering, construction, or technical projects is highly preferred

Additional Requirements

• Must be able to work onsite during standard business hours
• This role supports a federal project and requires successful completion of a drug screening as a condition of employment
