About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented CAD Technician to join our technical team. In this role, you will work alongside Designers, Engineers, and Project Managers to support planning and design efforts associated with utility system improvements, public project relocations, right-of-way activities, and other infrastructure projects. Key Responsibilities

• Prepare new engineering drawings and revise existing drawings based on sketches, layouts, and project requirements.
• Support planning and design efforts related to system improvements, including capacity upgrades, pole replacements, recloser reconditioning, and other utility projects.
• Adhere to company, client, and ANSI drafting standards and procedures.
• Assist with drafting, design, and project documentation activities.
• Utilize AutoCAD and other drafting/design software to support project deliverables.
• Collaborate with Engineers, Designers, and Project Managers to ensure project accuracy and quality.
• Assist with special projects and additional assignments as directed by management.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree in a CAD-related program OR a specialized CAD certification with a minimum of 2 years of relevant drafting experience.
• 2–5 years of professional drafting experience (internship experience does not qualify).
• Minimum GPA of 3.0.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and BlueBeam.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Self-motivated with a strong desire to learn, grow, and develop professionally.

Additional Requirements

• Candidates must be legally authorized to work permanently in the country where this position is located without sponsorship now or in the future.
• Bachelor’s degrees in Engineering disciplines are not eligible for consideration for this position.
