Job Description:

PTR-Precision Technologies, Inc. is a member of the Global Welding Technologies group, the largest manufacturer of electron beam welding and drilling systems in the world. PTR manufactures Electron Beam Welding Systems for the North American market and provides process development, service, training, and job shop EB welding services at our Enfield, CT plant.

PTR-Precision Technologies, Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented Accountant to join our Finance Team. This position is responsible for supporting daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, payroll processing, bank reconciliations, labor tracking, and month-end close activities. The ideal candidate will have experience in manufacturing accounting and cost accounting, with the ability to monitor production costs, maintain accurate financial records, and support audit and reporting functions.

Responsibilities:

· Manage accounts payable by processing invoices and expense reports, coding transactions to the appropriate general ledger accounts, and ensuring payments are made promptly.

· Process weekly & bi-weekly payroll; and maintain all related reports.

· Reconcile bank accounts, verify deposits, and respond to bank/vendor inquiries or discrepancies.

· Accurately record, review, and maintain employee labor hours. Communicate with employees or supervisors to resolve labor discrepancies.

· Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and support the month-end close process, including the preparation of journal entries.

· Assist external auditors and internal stakeholders by gathering required documentation for the annual audit.

· Develop and maintain cost accounting systems and procedures. Monitor manufacturing costs, labor costs, and overhead allocation.

· Perform other duties as necessary or assigned.

Qualifications & Skills:

· Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business (or equivalent knowledge)

· 1-3 years of accounting experience preferred

· Proficient in Microsoft Windows applications (particularly Excel)

· Familiarity with accounting ERP software; Infor Syteline a plus!

· Knowledge of standard costing, BOMs, and production reporting

· Exceptional analytical and organizational abilities, demonstrating attention to detail

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong interpersonal abilities

· Must demonstrate accuracy and efficiency, consistently meet deadlines, and uphold a high level of confidentiality
