Job Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant I to join our team in Urbandale, Iowa. This role will focus on accounts receivable (A/R) functions, including collections on past-due invoices, collaborating with internal teams, and contributing to process improvements. This is a contract position, providing an excellent opportunity to work in a dynamic environment and make a meaningful impact.

Responsibilities:

• Work with the client team and clients to collect on past-due invoices under general supervision.
• Collaborate with Cash Application and offshore Collections teams to ensure efficient processes.
• Assist in the development, implementation, and documentation of procedures and process improvements for general collections and reporting functions.
• Maintain client relationships while collecting outstanding invoices.
• Provide feedback and guidance to offshore Collections team members.
• Perform analysis and reporting on past-due client trends, identifying levels of risk and root causes of non-payment.
• Collaborate with onshore team members to develop process efficiencies.
• Ensure compliance with corporate policies and SOX procedures.
  

• 1-3 years of experience in collections, finance, or a related field.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Intermediate proficiency with MS Excel.
  

• Bachelor’s Degree in a related field.
• Prior experience in reporting and project work.
• Attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving abilities.

Pay Range: $22 - $25 Hourly on W2 Without benefits 

The specific compensation for this position will be determined by several factors, including the scope, complexity, and location of the role, as well as the cost of labor in the market; the skills, education, training, credentials, and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment.
