SRE Engineer (W2)

Job Description:
- Proficient in application development skills for more than one technology as well as multiple design techniques.
- Working proficiency in development toolset to design, develop, test, deploy, maintain and improve software.
- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies with ability to work in at least one of the common frameworks.
- Strong understanding of techniques such as Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery, Test Driven Development, Cloud Development, application resiliency and security.
- Proficiency in one or more general purpose programming languages.
- Working proficiency in a portion of software engineering disciplines and demonstrates understanding of overall software skills including business analysis, development, testing, deployment, maintenance and improvement of software.
- Working proficiency in developmental toolsets
- Knowledge and experience working in an Agile environment
- Familiar with development tools such as Jenkins, Git/BitBucket, Jira, etc.
- Knowledge of application, data and infrastructure architecture disciplines
- 5 plus years of experience with server based Operating Systems such as Windows 2016/2019 (Red Hat Linux/Unix a plus)
- 5 plus years with database systems such as Oracle and SQL Server
- Practical working experience with highavailability (clusters, failover) and networking (latency, load balancing, firewall) concepts
- Knowledge of data architecture, data modeling, database design and data warehousing.
- Expertise in at least one technology stack designing, coding, testing, and delivering software
- Experience with reporting, business Intelligence and visualization tools (i.e. Tableau, PowerBI, Cognos, etc.)
- Experience with functional, user acceptance and performance testing.
- Ability to quickly develop subject matter expertise and working knowledge of business processes; i.e., the ability to understand 'the business' and the impact of technology solutions
- Experience working with thirdparty applications and integrations
- Familiarity with observability practices such as white and black box monitoring, service level objective alerting, and telemetry collection using tools like Grafana, Dynatrace, Prometheus, Datadog and Splunk.
- Recognize and eliminate toil through systems engineering or automation, and implement observability patterns to improve service level indicators, objectives monitoring, and alerting solutions.
Pay Range: $60 - $65
The specific compensation for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role as well as the cost of labor in the market; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment. Salary : $60 - $65
