Position: IT Director
Location: Mclean, VA (Onsite)
Duration: 6 Months (with possible extension)
Pay Rate: $110-$120/hr. on W2 (Depending upon the experience)
Client Notes:-
Need IT Director level candidate. No hands-on experience required.
10 years of professional software development experience
Strong expertise in:
Java
Angular
Python
Kubernetes
- Experience with .NET is preferred, but candidates without .NET can still be considered if they have Java, Angular, and Python
- Solid background in engineering and software development
- Proven experience in leading development teams (5–6 developers)
- Project management from a technical/engineering perspective
Industry Experience:
- Banking and Mortgage industry experience is highly preferred but not mandatory
Cloud & DevOps:
- AWS experience is strongly preferred
- Experience with Azure or GCP is acceptable, but AWS is prioritized
Databases:
- Experience with SQL databases, especially PostgreSQL
- Exposure to NoSQL, specifically MongoDB
- Excellent communication skills required
- Must be able to effectively interact with internal development teams
- Comfortable engaging with external stakeholders, including business users and partners
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts in a clear, concise manner
Job Description:
- Developer Full Stack Specialist
- Design the overall technological design of the product with the help of the teams and BU Architect.
- Ensure technical detailed design is compliant with the Architecture decision and bring to the attention of the architect if the product team cannot be in compliance for any reason.
- Responsible for High Level design document, sequence diagrams,
- Guide Agile teams on technology strategy related to coding practices, continuous integration, and automated deployment.
- Responsible for technical design and infrastructure / environments strategy, including deployments, ensuring that these are kept inline with product roadmap and with MVP mindset.
- Work with the team to help empower and provide the right tools to deliver sprint goals.
- Mentor and coach the technical team including Dev Leads, specifically with code quality when needed.
- Identify and remove technical impediments.
- Work with the Chief Product Owner to align the roadmap with strengths and opportunities within the technical stack.
- Constantly look for better ways of solving technical problems and designing the solution, not afraid to challenge the status quo.
- Provide the teams a roadmap for implementing software engineering practices.
- Share responsibility with Chief Product Owner for building reusable and scalable components.
- Provide transparency to Dev Leads and Architecture for evolving priority and design changes.
