About the Role
We are looking for an Accounting Operations Supervisor to lead a team responsible for accurate, timely, and controlled accounting and transaction processing activities. This role will focus on team leadership, operational performance, process improvement, and maintaining a strong control environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise, coach, and mentor a team of accounting operations professionals.
- Assign and review work, manage priorities, and ensure weekly operational goals are achieved.
- Monitor workflow, productivity, quality, and overall team performance.
- Partner with internal and external stakeholders and communicate policies and procedures clearly.
- Resolve complex operational issues using strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Identify process gaps and implement improvements to increase efficiency, quality, and consistency.
- Drive operational performance through clear targets, prioritization, monitoring, and follow-up.
- Reinforce compliance with established accounting, operational, and control procedures.
Required Qualifications
- 5 years of professional experience in accounting or finance
- Experience leading and coaching a team in an accounting operations, finance operations, or transaction-processing environment.
- Demonstrated ability to assign/review work, manage priorities, and deliver weekly operational objectives.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain policies/procedures clearly and work effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Proven problem-solving ability, including analyzing issues with broader operational impacts and implementing process changes.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related fields.
- Experience driving process improvement initiatives.
- Familiarity with controlled financial operations environments.
